Other things

I have been working as a communications consultant now for 12 years. My last full-time work was with the David Suzuki Foundation where I helped build communications infrastructure, and which led to my present work with all these great environmental organizations listed above.

In the ten years before that I worked in a variety of positions in the private and non-profit sectors, and government, mostly in management positions. I've owned businesses and managed a staff of over 225 people at one point.

I've spent several years travelling and working/volunteering in other countries, including extended trips to India, Latin America, two years in Costa Rica, and among the most meaningful experiences was coffee-picking in Sandinista Nicaragua and escorting threatened human rights workers in Guatemala with Peace Brigades International.

To my present customers - thanks for letting me be a part of your good work. And to potential customers - hoping I can be of service.

I recently decided to return to university to complete another degree and try my hand at more full-time writing.
